HEAVEN’S PLAYGROUND BEWARE OF THE PIRATES __________________________________________ Man
is capable of many extraordinary things! Amongst which are: stealing,
cheating and taking advantage of someone else. These human characteristics
are of all times and can easily be activated through the sweet scent of
money! The pages here
are dedicated to the stereoview “pirating” business. How does a stereoview
pirate work? He just takes a photograph from an original printed view. Easy
as that. You don’t need expensive travelling, stage setting, or what. Just
take the shot, print it, sell it cheap and hope no one will sue you for
copyright violations. The quality of these views vary. Some are quite nice
and sharp, but when you have photographed “a photograph that was photographed
that was photographed” your pictures get quite pale. But as long as the 3D
keeps visible, apparently there was a market. We give you a
selection of pirated views from our collection, some of them accompanied by
their original. Much of the knowledge we give you here comes from the late
Tex Treadwell of the Institute for Photographic Research, associated to the
